Mick Streff, AAMS®, CRPC®

Regional Vice President

Mick Streff is the founder of Streff Financial Group, LLC and an Investment Advisor Representative, and a Registered Principal with LPL Financial. Mick is also an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) and Chartered Retirement Planning Consultant (CRPC®) having received these credentials from The College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO.

Before entering the workforce full-time, he attended Washburn University in Topeka, KS, focusing on business and information systems. In 1993 Mick started his career in the banking industry. As AVP of the bank’s trust department, Mick was a senior trust officer and portfolio manager. In 2001, Mick moved to Tucson, AZ and accepted a position with the Credit Union, and with his previous experience, assisted them in the formation of their first-ever investment services and financial planning center. With 28 years in the financial industry, he has had the privilege of assisting hundreds of families seek the most appropriate use of financial products and services in their quest to reach their specific goals. He has also worked with many small business owners and those educators from the classroom to administration. Mick currently holds his Series 6, Series 7, Series 24, Series 63, Series 65 and Series 66 licenses through LPL Financial and is registered in 23 states.

Mick believes in the importance of helping clients focus on life issues that are significant to them. His mid-western background is apparent with his plain and simple approach to coaching his clients toward the path of their financial journey.

He focuses on employing a disciplined process to help clients understand their long-term investment objectives and risk tolerance, determine the appropriate asset allocation and diversification strategy, with the goal to select the most appropriate money management style, and measure portfolio performance.

When Mick is not in the office, you may find him volunteering at his parish, a local food bank, or helping build a new home with Habitat for Humanity. Together with his wife Susan, he enjoys golfing, hiking, and traveling. Their son is on the path to graduating from Arizona State University in Spring 2021, with a BS in Economics and a minor in Mathematics. Mick’s two daughters, one a teacher and the other a hair salon owner, live with their husbands and children in Kansas. Mick has two grandsons and two granddaughters.

Accredited Asset Management Specialist SM, AAMS®

The College for Financial Planning® awards the AAMS® designation to students who successfully complete the program, pass the final examination and comply with the Code of Ethics, which includes agreeing to abide by the Standards of Professional Conduct and Terms and Conditions. Applicants must also disclose of any criminal, civil, self-regulatory organization, or governmental agency inquiry, investigation, or proceeding relating to their professional or business conduct. Conferment of the designation is contingent upon the College for Financial Planning’s review of matters either self disclosed or which are discovered by the College that are required to be disclosed. Continued use of the AAMS® designation is subject to ongoing renewal requirements. Every two years individuals must renew their right to continue using the AAMS® designation by completing 16 hours of continuing education and reaffirming to abide by the Standards of Professional Conduct, Terms and Conditions, and self-disclose any criminal, civil, self-regulatory organization, or governmental agency inquiry, investigation, or proceeding relating to their professional or business conduct.

Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor SM or CRPC®

Individuals who hold the CRPC® designation have completed a course of study encompassing pre-and post-retirement needs, asset management, estate planning and the entire retirement planning process using models and techniques from real client situations. Additionally, individuals must pass an end-of-course examination that tests their ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations.

All designees have agreed to adhere to Standards of Professional Conduct and are subject to a disciplinary process.

Designees renew their designation every two-years by completing 16 hours of continuing education, reaffirming adherence to the Standards of Professional Conduct and complying with self-disclosure requirements.
